The real difference
Both platforms reject commissions and bolt-ons, and fair play to anyone who does. On the monthly fee the two are close. On staff, LushLane includes three and then charges £5 each. Glow does not charge for a fourth chair.
The difference that is easy to miss, and the one the table now leads with, is the compliance layer. Glow blocks a booking without a valid patch test, keeps the signed consent on the appointment, logs the product batch against the treatment, and can hand you one PDF if a client claims a reaction. LushLane's pricing and features pages do not publish those. So the cells say Not published. We are not guessing they lack them. We are not claiming they have them.
The other published difference is migration. LushLane's free option is do-it-yourself CSV uploads, with paid white-glove help. On Glow, migration is our job at any price, including free. Send us your export, we clean it, map it and load it, and you go live without touching a spreadsheet.
Who each one is for
Glow is for any treatment business that carries liability. Lash, hair, aesthetics, tattoo, mobile. One customer already runs 124 services across 12 categories on the same product, including piercings, laser, facials, hair and waxing.
LushLane publishes itself as salon software for hair, barbers, nails, brows and lashes, skincare, makeup, spas and wellness. That is a wide beauty and wellness brief. It is their wording, not ours.
Do your own diligence
Whatever platform you pick, ask to see real customers. Ask for live booking pages you can click. Ask who built it and whether they answer messages. Ask whether a missing patch test actually blocks the booking, or only sits as a note. We'll happily show you ours. The table was checked in September 2026 against LushLane's own pricing page.
