Glow

Switching from Acuity to Glow

Acuity ran the diary. Glow runs the diary and the file. We have already imported a live UK salon from an Acuity export.

What you keep

Your clients, their numbers and emails, your services and prices, and the bookings that are still ahead. We clean the export and load it. You do not retype the book.

How it works

  1. Export clients and appointments from Acuity. If the menus have moved, send us whatever CSV or spreadsheet it will give you.
  2. We map services, staff and the diary, then load a Glow account you can click through.
  3. Run Glow next to Acuity for a few days if you want the comfort. Most people stop looking at the old diary on day two.
  4. Point Instagram, Google Business Profile and any website button at your Glow page.
  5. Cancel Acuity when the last legacy booking is done.

What changes

Forms you built by hand become category rules: test, consent, aftercare, batch. Packages that were workarounds become services and add-ons.

Clients do not need a Squarespace account. They open your Glow page and book.

Questions

How long does a move take?
Most techs are clickable within a day of sending a usable export.
Do I have to tell every client?
They use your link. Update the bio and the Google button. Upcoming bookings can still be messaged from Glow once they are in.
Is the import free?
Yes. Send whatever CSV or spreadsheet the old system will give you.
What if the export is messy?
They always are. That is why we do it. Duplicate names, old services, staff who left — we map what we can and flag the rest.
