What a nail tech actually books

A nail column is not one service with extra minutes. Gel, BIAB, infill, removal, repair, art — they stack, they overrun, and a no-show on a 90-minute set is a real loss. Software that only knows 'appointment' forces you to invent a service for every combo, or to eat the overrun. Add-ons without a 40-row menu

Nail art, builder, chrome, removal, an extra 15 minutes — clients ask for these in the DMs because the booking page cannot say yes. On Glow they pick the add-on when they book. The duration moves. The price moves. You are not rebuilding the service list every time a trend lands.

When the menu is not only nails

A lot of nail techs already tint, wax or pierce. Those jobs carry a different record: a tint may need a patch test, a piercing needs consent and a jewellery batch. Glow does not force a test onto a BIAB. It lets each category carry the rule that belongs to it.

Glow records what you set and shows when it was recorded. It does not decide what your insurer, council, pigment supplier or prescriber requires, and it does not claim a salon is compliant.

A Saturday that does not start in the DMs

The expensive part of a nail column is not the diary. It is the half hour before open spent confirming who wants chrome, who needs a removal, and who thought a 45-minute slot would cover a full set and art. When those choices live on the booking, Saturday starts with a list you can actually work.

Reminders cut the no-shows. A deposit that they already paid cuts the ones who would have wandered in late. If they cancel inside your window, the policy you wrote is the one that runs — not a negotiation in Stories. None of that is unique to Glow. What is unique is that the same account can grow a tint or a piercing category later without you buying a second system and teaching the receptionist two logins.
